THE ATRIUM – 800 Yates Street
Playsted Sheet Metal Ltd. completed this flagship project with Clemco Mechanical in the fall of 2010. The JAWL Properties building, designed by award-winning architect D’Ambrosio Architecture and Urbanism, and targeted for LEED Gold Certification, is most easily recognized as the new headquarters for BC Ferries and BC Land Titles.
Under the supervision of Cam Crowhurst, a crew consisting of up to 16 sheet metal workers completed work on this 7-storey building that included a large mechanical room, multiple air handling units and 120’ lengths of 80” and 68” spiral roof duct. The Atrium also showcases Playsted Sheet Metal’s quality workmanship with exposed ductwork in the lower level shops and restaurants – Zambri’s, Pig BBQ Joint, AJ’s Organic Cafe, Habit Coffee, and Metropol.
